I want to apologize to those of you anxiously awaiting an update. We have been gathering information regarding each individual shippingissues and I finally have definitive answers.
U.S. Backers
We have fulfilled all U.S. orders with surveys completed before December 20. U.S. orders with surveys completed after December 20th are being processed and will be shipped within two weeks.
If you have not received your U.S. order, please make sure you have completed your survey.
If you have completed your survey and have not yet received your information please contact [email protected].
European Backers
I have both good, and a little less good information for you. We have secured a fulfillment house on your side of the pond! That is the good, actually great news. We are currently prepping the product to be placed on a boat and headed your way. You will not be receiving outlandish customs charges or waiting in limbo for a solution from us. However, you will need to be patient just a little bit longer. It may take several weeks until all of your orders are fulfilled. Now that we have an actual solution, I promise to be diligent in my updates and keep you informed on the status of deliveries, starting from the moment the boat leaves harbor. International shipping has proven to be the biggest challenge of this campaign and although I am very excited about the overall success of the campaign and how well the product turned out. I am extremely disappointed that I did not get your orders fulfilled on schedule.
For those of you in our initial shipping sample, if your customs bill has yet to be corrected, please contact [email protected]. We have corrected the invoices on our side and your accounts should reflect the change. If this has not occurred, please let us know.
Australian and New Zealand Backers
You guys are the one wild card. Unfortunately, legislation passed in the middle of our campaign, outlawing gel shooters is still preventing us from shipping your orders. However, we are determining the best method of obtaining a compliance certificate or product exemption. We are working with counsel and are just waiting to get a definitive answer, either way. We will update you the minute we get that answer. If we can get an exemption, we will begin shipping immediately. If we get a hard no, we will refund your product.
Everyone Else:
Each country has a unique set of circumstances. For those of you not included in the U.S., European or Australian categories, I will email you directly to explain the status of your individual pledge.
Who knew shipping would be the most difficult part of this process? We are a small family here at Gel Blaster and consider all of you as family members, even the grumpy ones. We could not have done this without your support, patience and participation.

International Shipping Update

Happy Holidays, Everyone.
Here at Gel Blaster Headquarters we are experiencing a few technical difficulties.
1. International Shipping:
a. We sent out a small sampling of International orders. These orders did arrive before Christmas, but included something extra...A ridiculous duty, tariff, customs cost. This is due to incorrect processing of the commercial invoice. We are working diligently to get this corrected. You may accept your product. The bill will be adjusted.
b. Those of you who did not fall into the initial sampling. We are sorry we will not be making the Holiday deadline. I am sure you figured that out, already. However, we now have an actual solution and as soon as the contract is signed and the product is delivered to the new fulfillment house, we will begin shipping immediately. There is a image at the bottom of this update that you can print out and insert in a card for the intended recipient. We know it isn't as fun as opening up their blaster on Christmas morning, but at least they will know that you were thinking of them, and that you are cool enough to back something on Kickstarter!
2. Australia
a. We are good to go for Tasmania. You will be put in the International que.
b. Everybody else, we are still waiting for the dang compliance certificate or a hard no. They have given us a completion date of December 22nd. But we are not holding our breath, as we have been pushed back several times. We are in the process of making some modifications to the barrel, which would directly effect velocity control, and could change things dramatically in our favor.
3. US Backers with missing items.
We are quickly learning none of us are spreadsheet gurus. Some of you received incomplete packages. The majority of these have to do with add-ons and Early bird bonuses. We are correcting these issues and the missing items are being shipped out. Some of you may have received them already.
4. Quality Control Issues
If you have received your product and are experiences any type of quality control issue, please sent an email to [email protected] with the subject line Kickstarter QC. It is much more efficient to deal with all issues in one place. That way we are sure you are all taken care of promptly.

I apologize for the lack of a recent update. We are buried trying to get everything put together, shipped out, answering questions, researching compliance, trying to set up international distribution and the list is growing daily.
Let's start with this:
We still do not have a definitive answer on Australian legality. We should know more towards the end of next week. We will refund all Australians if we cannot ship to Australia.
International Shipping, besides Australia: Shipping costs from the U.S. overseas are unbelievable. It looks like it will cost us over $100 per package to ship. Obviously, we cannot afford to do that, and are looking into alternative solutions. We are trying to get a U.K. distributor up and running, because apparently it only costs $9 to ship throughout all of Europe, so we just need to get a big giant package over there and all should be fine. We will also have an update for you mid next week.
Canada and Mexico - Your orders are set to ship this week.
For those of you already receiving your SURGEs, you may have noticed a difference in your Gellets preferences. We ran out of several colors and substitutions had to be made. Please be kind, we are doing our best to get all of these out and I promise, blue ones are just as much fun to play with as red ones.
Additionally, you will find a coupon code on a postcard, instead of the Stretch Goal Fin Pack. We hit the stretch goal late and manufacturing was not complete. Please use the code on our website to order your replacement fin. Shipping will be free for the fin pack.
Finally, several of you have sent messages that say this:
"I received my SURGE and it is orange. I wanted a blue one."
All SURGEs are shipped with the orange fins and barrel installed. There is a blue fin pack and barrel tip included with each SURGE. It is located under the red sticker. You can easily swap them out. James is here to show you how.

Finally...We are shipping!

Thank you all for your patience and understanding. We had a minor issue with Gellet fulfillment(You guys ordered a boatload of Gellets!). The situation is quickly being remedied...Unfortunately in order to get things rolling, we had to make a few adjustments to your color selections. But, we started shipping orders today!! It will take us a few weeks to get through all of the orders, but anticipate having everyone filled by the end of the month. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order ships.
For all of you Australia backers...We are still waiting on our Compliance Certification, which we should have by the end of this week. If we get confirmation that we are okay to ship to Australia, we will put you into the que immediately. If we do not get confirmation, we will refund your pledges. So, keep your fingers crossed.
Again, we cannot thank you enough for your generous and faithful support.

If you don't complete it, we don't know where to ship to...So, in the words of James, The Gel Blaster Guy...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
